âI can afford to live alone, travel the world and enjoy basic amenities. The average 24-year-old Nigerian can’tâ â Abroad-based 24-year-old lady

A 24-year-old lady has sparked debate online after comparing her life abroad with what she believes is the reality for many young Nigerians.
.....
In a video, she said living outside Nigeria has given her opportunities she believes the average Nigerian her age can only dream of. According to her, she can comfortably live independently, travel several times a year without juggling multiple side hustles, enjoy well-maintained public amenities, and rely on legal systems that protect citizens.

She also claimed people abroad can openly criticise government policies without fear, unlike in Nigeria, where she alleged critics risk intimidation or arrest.
The young lady went on to criticise Nigerians who defend politicians and celebrities despite the country’s economic challenges, urging citizens to focus on holding leaders accountable instead of attacking those who speak out. She added that although she would rather live in Nigeria, she currently prefers being an immigrant to returning to what she described as the country’s harsh realities.
